Cruise to Calaveras County III

Location: Valley Springs, CA
Take a drive up to the scenic foothills of Calaveras County. We will meet at the Starbucks in Valley Springs (200 E. Hwy 12, Valley Springs, 95252) at 10:15 AM. First stop is the Mercer Caverns in Murphys, CA, a 40 minute drive from Valley Springs. We’ll take a 45 minute tour of the caverns with their beautiful stalactites. The caverns go 16 stories deep, so there are lots of stairs. See www.mercercaverns.com for more information. If you don’t want to take the tour, you can visit the town of Murphys.
After the tour, it’s a 20 minute drive to Angeles Camp for lunch at the Camps at 1 PM. After lunch, we’ll head to Copperopolis Town Square for ice cream. Then we’ll head home. We should be finished with the cruise around 3:30pm. Detailed directions will be given out at the start of the event.
